Ultimate Frisbee is a game in which two teams compete to score the most touchdowns within the given time limit. The game is played similarly to Football but with a few major differences. First off, instead of the game being played with a Football, the players use a Frisbee. Second, once an offensive player throws the Frisbee successfully to their teammate (the Receiver), the Receiver can not continue to run forward towards the in zone, but instead, he must stop where he caught it then has 10 seconds to try to throw it to another team mate. In this game, turn overs occur very quickly because when a player loses possession (whether it be an interception, or it getting packed to the ground, or simply just missing the catch) the other team starts off next to where the Frisbee landed and/or where they lost possession and gets the offensive position again–trying to score.
This miraculous game was created by a man named Joel Silver who introduced the idea to his high school student council. After that, the game grew greatly and now has a professional league called the MLU (Major League Ultimate). So go out a play it.
