If you like lattes, you might want to file a complaint with Starbucks. The word is, Starbucks, the coffee giant, has been underfilling their latte by 25 percent. (Eater) But if you knew how to make the correct latte, you wouldn’t be complaining. Truth is, that to make latte by the book, it is filled all the way, but here’s the catch. To make a latte you use 60 mL of espresso, 300 mL of steamed milk, and 2 mL of foamed milk. (About Food) The only thing Starbucks is doing wrong is they’re using too much foamed milk to save money on milk. The only reason this lawsuit might get Starbucks on is, “By underfilling lattes, Starbucks is saving millions of dollars on milk.” (Eater) If this lawsuit makes it to the public, “it will be open to all U.S. Class Members who purchased a Starbucks Latte.” (Top Class Action) All we can do is hope that everything will be alright with Starbucks.
