Do you love to cruise on longboards? Do you like to do awesome tricks on a skateboard? If so, you should check out this article: The History Of Skateboarding. Skateboarding started in the early 1950s with California surfers wanting to find a way to surf on the streets. The first skateboards were wooden boxes with wheels or wooden planks with roller skate wheels. As you can imagine, many people got hurt on these first versions of the skateboards. About 15 years later, skateboarding became less popular because of all the injuries. These were caused because of the clay wheels which were hard to control. But in spring of 1975, they became more popular again because they became what they are today. They are very popular and about 4.8 billion dollars worth of skateboards are sold each year in just North America!
