Are you creative? Do you need to unleash your inner artist? Well if so, you should change your fifth or sixth period class to ceramics. Ceramics, if you don’t already know, is the making of pottery and other pieces. They are made with clay. The pieces are made solid after they have gone through a period of time in heat. The ceramics teacher here at Sundale is Mrs. Fagundes and she loves teaching kids about art. Her first interest in art was all the way back when she was in kindergarten. She said she just loved art and  looked forward to the next art project. Then, when she was older, she had the idea to bring a ceramics class to Sundale in 2005. She got her inspiration from the art world around her. Five years later in 2010, Mrs. Fagundes finally got the ceramics class she wanted. Mrs. Fagundes says, “My goal for the kids every year, is to have them just love art. Once they love art they can really have a lot of fun through out the year.” So if you love hands-on art you should join Sundale’s Ceramics class.
