Does anybody know one of the coolest sixth grade teacher in the world? That’s right Mrs. Dougherty! She started teaching because it keeps her young, active, and positive, and she also just likes kids. She has been teaching for 32 years and has worked at two different schools. She worked at the school I used to go to, George McCann, until 4th grade and then moved to Sundale  when I went in to 5th grade. It’s like she has been following me my whole life! Her favorite subject to teach is math, because you use it in everything. She also says kids haven’t changed, but are more exposed to the world because of the internet. She said, “Kids have taught me through out the years that you need to be understanding, be patient if they don’t listen or don’t get it, and have fun with all the work I teach to them.” So all you kindergarten through 5th graders, you better look forward to 6th grade.
